Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started & Implementation
Do we need to integrate Nayara with our EMR/EHR to get started?
No. You can deploy Nayara immediately without a complex IT project or security audit. Our platform works as a secure, standalone "sidecar" to your existing systems. You simply upload your patient list (via CSV) or provide patients with a QR code at the front desk, and the agents take over from there. We believe in "Launch Today," not "Launch in 6 Months."
Can we build an integration later if we want to?
Yes. Nayara is built on a modern, flexible API architecture. While most clients prefer the speed of the standalone model to start, we can build custom integrations to sync schedules or write back to your EMR whenever your organization is ready for that step.
How do we customize the AI to sound like us?
Yes. Nayara is built on a modern, flexible API architecture. While most clients prefer the speed of the standalone model to start, we can build custom integrations to sync schedules or write back to your EMR whenever your organization is ready for that step.
If it’s not integrated with the patient chart, how does the AI know what to do?
The AI runs on your Protocols, not just patient history. We upload your specific care instructions - fasting rules, medication guides, device manuals, and FAQs - into the AI’s knowledge base. Because the service is protocol-driven, it can autonomously guide patients through 90% of their questions and troubleshooting needs without needing deep access to their historical records.
Is the AI safe? How do you prevent it from giving bad medical advice?
Nayara uses Deterministic AI for clinical instructions. Unlike open-ended chatbots that can "hallucinate," our agents operate within strict, pre-approved clinical guardrails. If a patient asks a medical question that isn't in your protocol (e.g., "Can I mix this with my heart meds?"), the agent will politely deflect and escalate the query to your human team.
What happens if a patient reports a severe symptom or "Red Flag"?
The system constantly monitors user communication for red flags (as defined by your staff) and escalates to a human if needed. If the AI detects a concerning situation, it flags the interaction as Red and immediately alerts your staff via email or dashboard notification so you can intervene.
How It Works

How does the "Attendance Navigator" actually reduce no-shows?
Most day-of cancellations happen because patients misunderstand prep instructions or feel anxious. Our agent proactively texts the patient 24–48 hours before the appointment to verify compliance (e.g., "Have you started your prep?"). If the patient is confused or off-track, the AI guides them back to compliance immediately, saving the slot.
How do we document the AI conversations in our medical records?
Since we operate as a standalone layer, we make it easy to export data. The platform generates concise "Clinical Summaries" of every conversation (including adherence checks and reported symptoms) that your staff can simply copy-paste or attach to the patient's file in your EMR.

Patient Experience
How does the AI handle anxious or emotional patients?
This is our core differentiator. Nayara's agents are equipped with "Bedside Manner." The AI analyzes sentiment in real-time. If a patient expresses fear ("I'm scared it will hurt") or frustration, the agent shifts from an instructional tone to a supportive, reassuring tone - validating their feelings before guiding them to the next step.
Will elderly or non-tech-savvy patients use this?
We see high adoption rates across all age groups because we remove the friction. There is no app to download and no login to remember. Nayara interacts with patients via the channels they already use - SMS text messaging or WhatsApp. If they can text their grandchildren, they can use Nayara.
Security & Compliance
Is Nayara HIPAA compliant and secure?
Yes. We treat patient privacy as our top priority. The Nayara platform is built on enterprise-grade infrastructure that is fully HIPAA-compliant. All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, and we strictly adhere to the "Minimum Necessary" rule - meaning we only process the data required to guide the patient. We are happy to sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with your organization prior to launch.
